NCR members turned the HEAT UP on our new campaign!

On Jan. 28 members rallied in the NCR to stop the privatization of heating and cooling in the downtown core federal buildings. Led by our Alternate REVP, Alex Silas, members petitioned in the extreme cold to gather support. Speakers included supporters: NDP MPP Joel Harden, NDP MP Daniel Blaikie (Critic for Treasury Board and PSPC) and VP in the NCR for PIPSC Stephen Aubry. We received press coverage from Radio-Canada, CBC, Ottawa Citizen, The Hill Times, IPolitics and more!

Members of local 77000, Carleton University Post-docs win big improvements

Members celebrate their new collective agreement with Carleton University which includes:

Post-secondary education will suffer under the Ford Government’s cuts

On January 17, 2019, the Ontario Minister of Training Colleges and Universities Merrilee Fullerton, announced a 10 per cent reduction in tuition fees for domestic students at colleges and universities for 2019-20 and a tuition freeze for 2020-21.
