The Ottawa Regional Women’s Committee is excited to be joining thousands of walkers and runners across Canada July 4 – 11 in the 2021 Run for Women.

Delegates from the Public Service Alliance of Canada’s National Capital Region elected Alex Silas to a  two-year mandate to lead the union in the Ottawa-Gatineau region. Delegates also elected Chantal Fortin as Alternate Regional Executive Vice-President, and Diane Girouard as Treasurer.

Over 220 delegates, observers and guests participated in the online virtual convention May 13 - 16.

Presented as a panel discussion facilitated by Regional Executive Vice-President Alex Silas, Émilie Nicolas and Eagleclaw Thom will help us understand systemic racism by focusing on the question of white privilege:
