We are in a historic moment in which Indigenous, Black, and racialized people around the world are leading mass movements to defend their humanity and are achieving dramatic changes so that they may live in freedom. At the same time, many white people are recognizing that our society and our systems promote racism in ways they had not noticed or understood before – be it in the workplace, in schools, in policing, in the justice system, in healthcare, in unions, and so forth.

Below you will find resources on a variety of themes to support learning on anti-racism for everyone.

On April 29, after two years of negotiations, PSAC reached a tentative agreement with the Communications Security Establishment (CSE) that provides a fair wage increase, the roll-in of Market Allowance into salaries, and improved contract language around family and caregiver leaves including a new article on domestic violence leave. The bargaining team unanimously recommends ratification of the new agreement.

PSAC finds itself in yet another protracted fight over the compensation of federal workers regarding the Phoenix pay system nightmare.

April 28 is the Day of Mourning for workers killed and injured on the job.

This year it’s important to reflect on and commemorate workers who died or fell ill while working through the COVID-19 pandemic.

On April 28, we must answer the call. Let us mourn the dead, and fight for the living. The fight for paid sick days for all workers has never been more important.
