The theme for this year’s International Day Against Homophobia on May 17 was Fight the Homophobia Web Virus.
The National Capital Region Pride Committee went on employer ground at the Treasury Board Secretariat and at Place du Portage to hand out literature on how to fight the presence of homophobia on social media networks.
We were also invited to hold a kiosk at an event launched by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency, in partnership with St-Peter’s Catholic High School, to celebrate their agency’s new LGBT network. We had the opportunity to hear testimonies from high school students and from fellow employees of the CFIA.
