Dealing with family life and telework: a conversation

The PSAC-NCR Ottawa Regional Women’s Comittee (ORWC) invites you to attend a Zoom meeting April 7 from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. to provide an opportunity to share stories between women and our experiences of the COVID-19 pandemic and the challenges of family responsibilities and teleworking. 

Since March 13, 2020, all of us have faced dramatic changes in our way of working and this has deeply impacted all aspects of our lives—especially our family lives. 

Primarily women have had to combine teleworking, taking care of the family, being teachers to our children, finding daycare for younger children, and/or perhaps even taking care of the elderly for over a year now. 

The ORWC wants this meeting to be a safe space for sharing the challenges you have faced juggling all these responsibilities. Also, we intend for it to be a space to share ideas on what can help overcome the challenges we are facing.  

The ORWC wants your input. Your stories can assist the committee in championing workplace solutions to help with the challenges working women are experiencing during the crisis.  

The ORWC is looking forward to hosting this event and hearing your thoughts. 

We will try to organize a similar event in French soon.
