Salvation Army arbitration decision

An arbitration hearing was held in September 2012 and the decision from the arbitrator was released later in the year. The decision awarded the Salvation Army’s workers at the Ottawa Booth Centre an additional increase on top of what had been previously offered by the Employer. The arbitrator decided to add $500 to the gross salaries of full-time workers and $250 to the gross salaries of part-time workers. In addition, workers will receive annual increases of 2% in 2011, 2.5% in 2012 and 3% in 2013.
